Mississauga's Ram Mandir celebrated Lohri on January 14th, 2014. Lohri is a ritual of lighting up a bonfire, creates an aura for the festivity. Revered Pandit Roopnauth Sharma chanted mantras paying obeisance to the holy fire. Everyone that was present performed parikarma , offering prasad to Agni(God of fire) and prayed for prosperity. Newlyweds and new born babies were blessed by Pandit Sharma.
Celebrating Lohri is a warm way of imparting love to one and all and encourages togetherness. All the devotees enjoyed Lohri, singing folk songs, laughing and enjoying traditional snacks. Although the weather was a bit chilly, the festive mood of Lohri kept its warmth and put smiles on everyone's faces. The celebration created amenability as everyone sat around the bonfire and had memorable time.
We wish that the light of holy fire lightens your life and marks an end to your sorrows and invite you and your family and invite you to join us all our future celebrations at Mississauga's Ram Mandir.
